This technical report describes what ERO (the Education Review Office) did to look at the implementation of the NCEA Level 1 Qualification in secondary schools. It sets out how we explored the experiences of the students and their parents and whānau who were affected by the current NCEA Level 1 changes and are studying towards the qualification as well as the experiences of teachers and school leaders who were directly involved in implementing and delivering these changes, and the experiences of the parents and whānau of students with the changes to NCEA Level 1.
